Say Hi Already

Cyclone Artemis – Hi Already ft. Marvis (BBNaija) Audio

Cyclone Artemis has teamed up with her fellow “rappertainer”- Marvis (of Big Brother Nigeria) to treat good music lovers to this smooth, sensual, shot-shooting jam titled Say Hi Already.
Delivered over a serenading instrumental by Vicbeatz, Cyclone shamelessly pours out an emotional narrative of her obsessive and frustrated feelings for this interesting person; prodding him to be on the same page with her.

Marvis serves as the perfect accomplice on this piece as she concurs with Artemis in a manner very reminiscent of Dej Loaf’s Me, You and Hennessy. Even better, this drops on the “Vibe” queen’s birthday.
This is Cyclone’s first and late offering of the year after her Introspect EP and the hiatus seems to have come with an entire change of sound, approach to her music and the industry all together. Although she doesn’t supply even 1 bar of rap, her rapper soul is still sensed all over this joint that was mixed and mastered by Spane5mix.

It is always a delight to watch young African musicians pay homage to their African roots, and Dami definitely makes us proud on today’s episode of FreeMe Tv’s ‘A3 Sessions’.
Kudos to the chemistry between her and her accompanying instrumentalist as they serve up a happy and cheery tempo, while still staying black and beautiful.
The slender singer performs an up-beat afro-pop fusion of Blackmagic’s ‘Repete’ and Asa’s ‘Bibanke’, doing her absolute best with the Yoruba pronunciation and altogether delivering an impressive performance.
It is very comforting to be reminded that the African roots are very strong in this younger generation of diasporan-based Africans.

External Pressure or Self Discovery? Cyclone is on Fayaaaaa!!!

Our very first Femcee on the 3rd season of ZoneOut Sessions and feature on today’s episode is Cyclone.
Her lyrics tell the tale of one who is confident of who she is and would never bend under pressure.
In her own words: “All I need is one Mic, not a fist or sword”.
Did you enjoy her session?

Ivan The Terrible is Reborn – ZoneOut Sessions [Video]

BondGrounded Promotions‘ star and one of the new cats on the rap block ‘Ivan Edd‘ is FreeMe Tv’s guest on this episode of ZoneOut Sessions. International Edd, as he calls himself, presents quite a picture: multiple piercings, packed-up hair and an uncommon sense of style, the rapper’s persona brings one word to mind: different. His rap delivery is as well quite different, as he employs a mixture of English Language, Pidgin English and Igbo to delver a very simple message: You’ve never seen this before!
We don’t know if he’s name Ivan after the historically infamous Ivan The Terrible, but there are some that would definitely say that his flow is ‘sick’ and his bars are ‘wicked’.
